Attic ventilation must be the proper net free sqft in ratio to the cubic sqft of the attic. The ratio of intake to exhaust must be correct, and only certain forms of intake can be used in conjunction with certain forms of exhaust.
The proper placement of the venting is crucial to avoid unintentional short-circuiting. Even the condition, screen size, and snow mesh have to be mathematically accounted for.
